My Xbox tray is being a faggot

My Xbox isn't reading my games (except my halo 4) my games are flawless no scratches, nothing. The tray isn't broken or anything idk what the fuck is wrong with it. Anybody got any solutions or anything?

This happened to me about a year ago. Take a vacuum and attach the hose to it and run that along the back of the Xbox. It sounds dumb but it worked for me a year ago and my Xbox still runs fine to this day.

if its no longer under warranty, and if you have the proper tools, there are lots of youtube videos which explain how to fix this. if you get an error code eventually, and you should, as rrod starts out with games not reading/freezing but eventually turns into rrod and will display an error code. just type the error code into youtube and it should show detailed instructions how to fix. you might have to buy some of that arctic silver thermal paste. up to you if its worth it.

Buy a cd/dvd lens cleaner kit from memorex at wal mart for like 9 bucks. I have the newer slim xbox and after placing it in a dusty place all the vents clogged up quick and the disc reader started to slack.

Worked wonders, just place the cleaning disk in and presto

Oh nice thanks for the link man I really appreciate it. Well I don't have many games, since I've sold most. But I currently play gears of war 3, halo 4, madden, FIFA, and fight night(when I find it I seem to lose that game a lot... weird shit) But I plan on getting back to buying games again, I'm getting a summer job after this semester get more money to buy some more.

I thought my Xbox was fucking up a few days ago because Injustice wasn't working. Kept freezing. Turns out I just had to clear the cache. You might have the same problem?

My tray would sometimes get stuck but never just not read i clean my discs with Windex and hydrogen peroxide

Fixed my dvd drive not long ago,. I tried switching my current dvd drive with my first xbox's drive but it didn't work because it turns out every dvd drive is linked with the console it's from so you can't replace it you have to send it to get it fixed but fuck that I might as well buy a new xbox but I didn't I opened it up again and just tightened up some small screw on the laser and now it works like a dream.
