I was listening to a podcast from ign. It was a panel of the ign "experts" talking about the release of ps3. Most if not all was speculation and review of 360, but there were some points I found quite intriging. During the interview one of them said that sony was in the works of creating a panaramic TV. THis would an enable a player to see on all angles. For instance playing a racing game, in front of you would be the road, and to the right or left would be the side or review windows. It is hard to cope with what this could possibly look like and how practical it acctual would be.
In addition to this news it was also mentioned that a VR headset has been in the works for Nintendo. The VR set that nintendo produced years ago failed badly, but with the new motion detection nintendo has worked out it looks like there definatly could be a possibilty in the future. No real news has been releases on it, but they panalists did say that nintendo had stocked up on a new VR "google" system that works for pc, so maby they are trying to work out the kinks. Personally I dont think it is gunna happen, or at least not in this generation of systems. Either way both of these ideas are pretty sweet although I dont think that the possibility of seeing these kinds of things is gunna happen ne time in the near future, especailly becuase we have been waiting for VR for like 25 years now.
If you guys want to hear it for yourself at least about the sony panaramic, go to ign.com and look for ps3 news, there you will find a link for a free podcast.
