let me get this straite, there is a film coming out with Batman called Equilibrium, and there is a Max Paine game coming out called Hall of Mirrors, which is based of the movie Equilibrium? \
This movie called Equilibrium, is it based off of max payne

No its a mod- a total conversion of the game, it basicly uses the basis as max payne( physics, objects and bulletime effects ). Its like Counterstrike is a mod for Half - life.

Its out now... u have to register to download though, but its absolutely worth it. The gun action is like no other game i ever played, combined woth bullet time it is simply marvelous.
