How I met your mother final (SPOILERS)

Idk why but I think I'm the only one who didn't hate the final. I usually go and check out a himym forum after watching each episode, and everyone absolutely hated this one.

What's your opinions on the episode? I didn't really like that the kids were like "yeah, fuck our mom!" Or that they spent like 5 seconds on the mother's death. But I loved everything apart from that. :flutter:

They tie up the loose ends about Ted moving to Chicago, Ted and the mother's relationship, and Barney and Robin's marriage. It's kinda worth it cause it got the vibe they had I their prime.

Mother dies, Barney and robin divorces, Barney becomes a father, Marshall gets his dream job, and everything ends with Ted going to Robin with the blue French horn

I kinda like that ending cause Ted loves Robin, and Robin can't have kids

Like I kinda was expecting the mother to die, but never in a thousand years would I have guessed the divorce, the fact that Barney is becoming a father (which imo is on of the most powerful scenes of the series) or that Ted and Robin get together again. The ending was powerful too.

I do have a sour taste in my mouth, because I like the happy endings the most when it comes to shows like these, that I've followed since the first episode, and this is by no means a sad ending, it's just, I don't know, it feels like the writers are contradicting themselves with this episode.

But this is not a bad episode, it's a great one, it's not the typical happy ending shit, that I like though lol .. it has everything. It is kinda sad though to see the mother die after all of this was about her.

Yeah, I checked people on FB and another forum (VG Debatt) and most people didn't like it. Some HATED it.

I personally liked the episode. It was what I was expecting.

People are saying that it's "How I Met Your Mother", not "How I Got Back With Robin", but even the kids reacted on the fact that he told so little about the mother, and seemed to tell everything about Robin and him. He told them how he met the mother, but his true love was always Robin even though he did really love the mother as well.

I explained pretty messy, but fuck that

I watched the first few seasons and then stopped, really glad Ted ended up with Robin though. They were a match from the get go.

And how quickly Barney transformed into "player" Barney, and then cause he got a certain no.31 pregnant from a perfect month, he has a child and he's back to mature Barney again

and the fact that Robin missed SO MANY YEARS of the group being together..

When you really get into a series, you feel like you're one of the characters, like all of this is actually happening to you in real life, that's why people didn't accept the way the episode ended, but in time, and over the years, it should be looked upon differently

What I can conclude for sure though is this: it's a twisted ending, to one of the best series of all time
