Overrated movies?

What movies do you feel are critically acclaimed that just aren't that special?

For me, it's Forrest Gump. It's a good movie, yeah, but it kind of bored me too and everyone acts like it's a GOAT movie...the only things I find memorable about it are the famous "life is like a box of chocolates" line and when he said he got shot in the ass.

I disagree about Forest Gump and Superbad. I liked both.

Paranormal Activity was original the first one....but when it comes to terror movies, asians are the best.

-Twilight !!!!! I love everything related to vampires, but this was soooo bored to watch.....it looks like it is done for 10 years old kids. Not even teenagers.

- Avatar, I watched it in the cinema, the movie was good, but not that great ....

-The Godfather, this is going to be very unpopular, the movie is a masterpiece for many people, not saying its a bad movie but it kinda bored me.

I can't even remember if I ever watched Paranormal Activity, even after I saw the trailer now... I've watched a dozen movies like that last couple of years... Rec, the 4th kind, one with some kid having an imaginary friend who's not imaginary after all but is an alian and his brother was kidnapped at the end, and a few more...

Don't agree with that, it's probably the best Tom Hanks performance yet, love that movie! For me "Slumdog Millionaire", what a waste of my time, still don't get all the hype about it when it came out

Actually, I had some feras about 8 Mile, that it would be a typical "from the bottom to the stars" piece of shit (even though Eminem is a perfect example of that bottom to the stars). But the movie was a pleasent surprise and I would like it even if someone else was starring it.

Maybe that's because you watch "Hollywood" horror movies, go watch european horror, specially French horror, watch Martyrs, A Serbian Film, that will make you feel uncomfortable watching it
