movies to dvd help

whats a good program that i can use to convert AVI files(movies) into whatever u put onto a DVD+R and then burn it to the dvd.

just had the same problem and solved it, if you have Vista your comp should come with WINDOW DVD MAKER, and i just made a dvd from it, works great, and it was a avi file

best thing i can offer is google it.. theres a program for free trail . didnt try it, but should work

yea i did that and its the full thing (not a trial) and so far its working

for avi files to dvd , I use "dvd flick". the program itself is free so dont worry about buying or pirating it
