Firefox problem

Postby ThomasAguanis » Mar 30th, '09, 22:08

So I tried using firefox today and it works fine but the address of the current page doesn't show in the url bar, and my bookmarks are missing. The page also says its loading when it's completely loaded. I tried downloading it again and reinstalling, but it didn't work. I 1st tried downloading it using firefox and it was downloading at like 8.4kbps and didn't even download the complete file, so I downloaded it on safari in less than 30 seconds. I also tried opening it in safe mode, but nothing changed. I also tried restarting my computer, but nope...it still didn't work. I'm using safari now and imported my bookmarks, but I like the add-ons I had on firefox,so I'd like to use it again. Well does anyone know how to fix this?

That's weird....I assume your using 3.08? Try installing the 3.1 beta. It's near release and it's stable enough.

Just a thought. :y:

it was simply a corrupted installation of firefox, anytime it happens, just download revo uninstaller, uninstall the incriminated software with the advanced uninstallation that revo uninstaller offers, remove ANY LEFTOVER the program find (registry entries and files leftovers), reboot the pc, get again the setup of the program and install it again
