i think thats a good thing... and more states should. people complain and say that it will only cause more violence... but it basicly boils down to this: criminals have guns, and if u becum the victim of a crime, and have no way to defend urself..... ur screwed. the u.s constitution gives us a right to bare arms...... and to take that away is not only plain retarded, but its also not a very smart thing to do. most people that go out and commit robberies and rape that use guns, im prety sure dont bother registering.... so to take that right away, isnt gonna cut crime rate... its only gonna result in a lot of innocent deaths

I dont think it is, it just creates a more dangerous situation. When someone with concealed weapons sees something going down and decide to take the law into their own hands, alot more people could end up dead

I think anyone with a license should be allowed to carry a weapon, as long as it's visible, don't conceal it, that's to much of a risk.

Word.

It gives reason for the trouble maker to panic if he knows everyone might be able to have a gun..

The rob is less likely to shoot u if u have a gun then if u didnt.

well the criminals in Kansas already have guns and already conceal them...so why cant the average populous.

lemme toss this at you. last year a police officer was killed. our police werent allowed to conceil till now. because the criminal knew he had a gun he testified "as soon as i saw i could be shot i did shoot." had we been allow to conceal we may have had 1 less dead police officer.

and when the law isnt there to do anything for you at the time, whats when you take the law into your hands...
also, not everyone can do this, you have to take a 4 year course in handgun safety in order to get the licence, you have to be trained an ability to know a situation and how to respond to that situation, and you have to be 21 or over...

so yeah, just thought i would toss that out there...and thanx baby for backing me up

Everything takes time to adjust to.

I heard on the news once that a kid shot another kid accedentally while playing with daddy's gun, and i heard stories like these more than once its kinda disturbing.

There obviously would be two sides to the story.

This thread has nothign to do with kids getting guns and killing accidently...this has to do with the fact f conceil anmd cary being a good idea...a kid cant get a license and therefor has nothing to do with the issue at hand

Think man. If my father owns a gun, i definately have acces to it. Kids do carry guns and they get their guns from their parents in many cases.

well guns were legal even before this...your point has no uniqueness to the current situation...the disadvantage that you claim was possible even before the current law was in place...

y is it a risk?...... i mean...... its not a risk, i mean... he said, u gatta go thro 4 years of training and be at leaste 21....... and i mean, its not sumthin that they r taking very lightly........ so, how is that a risk if sumones got a gun and is tryin to rob u, and if they see a gun on u theyr more likey to shoot and ask questions later..... and its a matter of ur right, guarenteed by the u.s. constitution, to protect u, ur property, and ur loved ones.
