there are lots of different food sources from both the cow and chicken plus they dont make good household pets

i cant see dog/cat tasting that great either and all they have is meat no egg/milk /leather

Equality compared to humans? Or like...how come chickens and cows are slaughtered by the billions meanwhile deer, cats and dogs aren't?

Most of it is because of people's cultures. In the western world, we would never think about eating dogs, as some Asian countries do, and residents in India consider cows to be sacred unlike here.

Actually, (I'm speaking for me) in my country we kill and eat deers. And in China, cats and dogs are eaten too. It all depends on your values or standarts. Or maybe your needs. It's said that in a not so far future humanity will live of bugs, as a lot of countries in precarious countries do right now, so, in conclusion, I don't think there is such a thing as "Animal Equality", it's all subjective.
