im saying they said god created everything with powers that he possesses.
but if you looked at it from an un-godly view, it would seem such things are magic, because nothing logical created them, it was just there in a matter of seven days.

@bigray,
I know what you mean by Holy Book being looked at as 'proof' but its more so evidence that could be submitted.
There are also questions to be asked about them. Who wrote the first transcripts? How would they know the Qu'ran was the word of God, if God hadn't written it? And correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't their conflicting views on how the Bible was written between Protestants and Catholics?

I'm one if those ppl who dont give a crap about religion.. but in the end, your outcome is based off of your actions, not by praying to God.

For example, someone down on their luck won't get a job by praying, they'll get one by going out and doing what they need to do.

Many people who follow religion believe that the world exists to,I guess, act as a backdrop for a test that God has wanted them to carry out to decipher who is worthy enough to enter Heaven. This also seems to give them a meaning to life, so with that, I think your point is legitimate.
But, look at it from another point of view, why exactly does their have to be a God behind the creation of the world? Why one certain point when God decided to create the world? What was God's motive behind creating it?
Btw, I completely respect your points, I just enjoy discussing religion.

There are 2 types of Atheists.....aggressive and non aggressive. .this may be worded wrong but an Atheist knows what I mean.

Curious to know what each of u are?

No one thinks the world occurred by accident. It being an accident implies something created it and that there was some purpose that wasn't achieved. We believe the world simply came to be. We don't know how and we don't know why.

Also the bible is not proof or evidence. Anyone can just right something down, that doesn't mean that it's true.

The argument "Because it's written in the bible" never flew with me. Wizards and elves are in the Harry Potter books, but that doesn't mean they're real. Heck, I do believe one bible says that you shouldn't get tattoos or cut your hair.

thats simply saying its a black and white. I could say theyre are aggressive and non aggressive religious people. ones who force their views on you and ones who simply believe, without being devoted.

there are agnostics who are unsure what to believe. there are people who would say give me proof of a god and sure, id believe you. and others who are 100 percent certain god is a myth.

the more and more i think about it, the more unrealistic it is to have had a god, so i considered myself pretty atheist. but i dont yell or make fun of those who believe.

Not sure about this question...explain what u mean. .if u dont mind?

Well what I was trying to get at was the intricacy of the 7 days it took for God to create the world. Why would God randomly decide to create the world? You kinda answered it with your other answer.

The signs of Judgement Day are happening? Can you give examples?

Even if people don't believe in Christianity, Jesus WAS a real person. He actually did die on a cross and he died believing it was for our sins. Whether or not it's true is up to the person but Jesus was actually a real guy, yes.

Well, ya see, the problem with the Bible is that it holds the ideals of a typical man. The Bible was written by man, so therefore it has a lot of holes and it seems to just be biased. It demonizes gays/lesbians, makes slavery okay, and makes women look lower than dogshit. It really seems like the Bible was written by an early conservative or some shit. The Bible literally holds all of the close-minded views that man has ever shown.

Not calling all Christians close-minded but most of them are.

If gays/lesbians are okay why is that they cant have a child normally like a male and a female? (Again I have nothing against gays)

I would say Christians are WAY more open minded than Islam.

No but many of the people in the Bible owned slaves.

Who says you HAVE to have a child? Did God actually say "the point in life is to have a child?" Again, it just sounds like it's coming from a guy who has a problem with fags and abortion. I think believing in God and believing in the Bible are two different things. The Bible is incredibly flawed. If we're all made in God's image, then why did he make gays/lesbians to begin with if he has a problem with them? My theory is that he doesn't.

What the fuck are you talking about...it seems like you know absolutely nothing about your own religion

"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way." (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever. (Exodus 21:2-6 NLT)

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

And no, we don't actually know if Jesus was a real person.

Assuming that was directed towards the comment I made about hair, my point is that people follow certain things in the bible, but ignore other parts.
