With any change comes good and bad, there are negatives to having the internet, but i feel the connectivity and information sharing and networking are all huge pluses. I think the problem is that our education system isnt really adjusted to dealing with it. People need to be taught to check sources early on, and not believe everything they see, because with easy access, you get to see more falsehoods, but on the flipside we now have the benefit of doing a little research to see whats true and what isnt. I dont think this generation, i guess being the one i am, are any lazier than any other. Just that the way we go about things now is different, we dont have to go to the library to study anymore, we can just look shit up. It makes it easier to be lazy sure, but it doesnt mean people in general are just lazier. I know at first i couldnt take my eyes off my phone, now i just use it to text the same few people, read articles and listen to music, and im so thankful i have a portable device able to do that. Like with everything else, you should do it in moderation, you shouldnt be staring at a screen 24 hours a day, but if people really dont understand its a problem and all they see are people who speak with condescension and look down on you because you look at your phone a lot or are on the internet a lot, why would you want to change anything?
" Life can change your directions, even when you ain't planned it
All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.
