well why do atheiths try and preach more than any other religion. We live in a horribole secular society, where atheists cannot claim they are being mistreated/persecuted. but they are always banging on about religion, to the point where richard dawkins started up a atheist summer camp for kids.

Albeit like jesus camp, which dawkins ironically insulted. Why atheists want to convert people to their faith when all they believe in is you "end up like worm food".

The protests atheiths did against the pope were nothing less than embarrassing.

Your attempts to use language and logic that are beyond you are no less than embarrassing. Are you such a fuckwit that you are unaware of religions other than christianity? There are alot of muslims on this forum, a couple jews, and yes--atheists. None of these people would consider christianity the one true religion, so maybe you should take menzo's advice and stop making christians look like douchebags.

Atheism. As in, not theistic. As in, not religious.

The word sort of, kind of, more or less, uhhh... entirely means that you do not follow a religion and you are not part of a religious group.

Oh, and PS... I think some of the religion threads that were going on contained very good discussions. Contentious? Yes. A few idiots putting no thought into worthless posts here and there? Yes. But, at the same time, whatever mod locked a few of the past religion threads really acted foolishly to do so, probably putting in about as much thought into the "lock" as those few idiots put into their worthless posts.

But whatever. I'm more of a scientific skeptic than anything. I don't blindly follow or believe anything. I look for truth in the laws of science. But atheistic? Until scientific proof shows me otherwise, sure. Its not like I'm in a cult or anything... like, some sort of radical group who congregates every Sunday, performs ritualistic activities, gets preached and blindly follows a random divisional leader or is threatened with eternal damnation. Cause that would be... y'know... crazy.
