Like last year, MTV will broadcast a U.S. pre-show telecast, this time from Miami, on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. ET/PT ahead of the actual awards show, which will take place from Glasgow's Hydro at 9 p.m.

It feels like these award shows only picks the singles that's more successful.

I don't know but it's been a year almost since the song was released and no one but few of my female friends play The monster. The Rap God is like everywhere. My college is doing a dance performance on it, many rappers in my country are influenced by Rap God, infact many name dropped him because of that song or mimicked him.
If they go for singles they should go for Rap God i don't think any other song from MMLP2 made the kind of impact on general public like Rag God did

Well, it's the MTV Europe Music Awards. Rap God didn't have a lot of airplay here, at least not in my country. Of course, they talked about the supersonic part but I've never heard it on radio not even on Hip Hop radio stations , they played The Monster instead.
Some channels played the music video though.
