Joe Budden is a better lyricist than a slew of other rappers.

Joe can pen some classical stuff, you don't seem very educated budden-wise, i suggest you check out his mood muzik series.

Royce was able to do some of that, but never to the same extent as Joseph, Royce is incapable of coming up with a song like Three Sides To A Story or Black Cloud.

Joe has had more mainstream success even though i don't really care for that.

and, i don't think empty statements like ' budden sucks ' and shit like that is a valid argument and shit like ' his delivery/voice is monotonous' is a cogent argument, but i don't really expect anything of value.

1) Royce fucking sucks now, he's pretty much been shit since H:TS dropped. I thought he was awesome on that, but WTOH onward he's been fucking terrible 95% of the time.

2) Budden, even though I'm not a huge fan of him, is probably the most capable solo artist of the three at the moment because he can still write shit that makes sense.

3) Slaughterhouse in general should fuck off. They have no chemistry, they wont sell. It feels like a forced side project that everyone is afraid to admit doesn't work.

4) Crooked I is the worst rapper on Shady Records.

5) Joell is the definition of "meh". He's not as shit as Royce is right now, or as Crooked is all the time, but he's nothing head turning either.

This. This sums it up pretty much. and FINALLY someone agrees with me on Royce. The guy has been horse shit for a few years now. Hell, I thought he was pretty fucking terrible on H:TS. Jamming lines with metaphors to the point that they get awkward, and some of the most corniest punchlines and raps I've ever heard. He's been on that R.A. The Rugged Man type flow and raps for a few years now. But the difference is R.A. is actually enjoyable to listen to, he has some pretty dope lines, actually has stuff to say, and his flow isn't near the dogshit Royces is (Except maybe on that song with Diabolic). Not to mention most of his raps these days are just that: punchlines. He really doesn't have anything meaningful to say. House rules was dog shit WTOH had a couple bangers but that was it. Basically, if you don't have chemistry with one another, you fucking fail. Most if not all the time it seems like they're never on the same page when they rap on a song. I give it 3 years max and they're done.

I'll be damned if SH makes up a majority of the new material on ShadyXV. Seems like it at this point. As Long as Em is on them, I think I'll live.

And I don't think Porter is THAT bad as a hype man. Royce would be a better choice though I can agree on that.

Just as a disclaimer, I don't think Royce is terrible as an overall MC, I'm just saying he's really been sucking since H:TS. He wasn't absolutely horrific on there, but I thought he could do so much better on there. Such an overrated MC on that project.
