Your life in music

Knowing what you know now, how your life has been so far, what type of person you are, how your character is and what you've been through. What would your song choices be for certain stages/events in your life?
What would your background music be?
What about future events?
Or how and what music has got you through certain life events?

Music has always been my saviour through my rough times.

This isn’t just serious shit and should be a mixture of good, bad and funny - Just post honestly

In my "teen" years i was obsessed with Marilyn Manson, so that was a big part of my life for many years, that's one of the bands i would choose for the "soundtrack" of my life for sure :D In my late teens, early adulthood KoRn was THE band for me...it helped me get through alot of personal shit at the time.

I like this. :y: On some of the cases I'll post songs I used to listen on that period.

Birth - Tonight tonight- smashing Pumpkins. I was born over midnight.
Walking - The verbe -Bitter sweet symphony, check the video if you can't get why.
Talking - Don't cry (Guns'n roses) just by the beginning of the song it came to my mind.."talk to me softly.."
Starting school - pink floyd - The wall
Puberty - These days (Bon Jovi)
Leaving school - lose yourself (Eminem)
First job - Hysteria (muse)
Graduations - time of your life (Green day)
Parents - my immortal - Evanescence. Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own (U2)
Family members - Goo goo dolls - Iris
Friendships - a little help from my friends (The Beatles)
Goodbyes - Never say goodbye (Bon Jovi).
Sex - True blood main theme, bad thing, wicked game by Him.
Love - Bon Jovi -Always, aerosmith -crazy.
Driving - My favorite game by the Cardigans.
First car - Highway to hell. Ac/DC
Moving out - Never say goodbye (Bon Jovi)
Grieving - estranged by Guns and roses, everybody hurts (R.E.M)
Money - money , power, glory by Lana del Rey
Holidays - feeling good (Muse)
Travelling- Around the world- Red hot chilli Peppers, where the streets have no name (U2)
Having children - daughter- pearl jam
Wedding - November rain - Guns'n roses
Funeral - Him- join me in death.
Cremation- Born to die by Lana.....Cause you and I we were born to dieeeeeeeee.

This questionnaire - Love the way you lie. Kidding kidding, but probably all my answers are wrong!

I saw Manson at Reading Festival years ago, dropped and come up to him playing Tainted Love round a fire - most surreal thing ever haha long gone are those popping days

A few I'd pick
I’ll start with one I’ve posted about before, walking down the aisle to Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade with the first 30 seconds on loop. This is because when we first met, we listened to music in bed and this was one song that came on a few times and we always thought it would be a good at our wedding

I used to play this after I split from my first love  Limp Bizkit - No sex

Learning lessons about men Linkin Park - Pushing Me Away

When my little sister passed away Elton John - Circle of Life was played at her funeral and Evanescence - My Immortal always makes me think of her. I can't remember anything about that year as it was all blur and it irritates me that I don't know what music helped me through that stage of my life.

I've also had some of the best times of my life growing up to rap and metal music and Eminem best memories to eminem's music

My husband playing this at me Ludacris - My Chick Bad

Funeral
Beyonce - I Was Here

Cremation
Pink - Highway to Hell

I'll think about some more to add :dog:

When I broke with my ex I used to listen " Patience" by Guns'n roses all the way, that song bring me memories of that period now. And I associate it with that person.

My immortal by Evanescence I think will make cry anyone who have lost someone. I can't listen to that song without breaking me down. There is also an spanish song that reminds me to my mother. Because it was the song that was on the radio the last time I saw her.

That song Unbreak my heart by Tony Braxton, ironically remembers me a very happy day of my life, but can't tell the story. :D

I need hard rock to drive, so everytime I listen Metallica I associate it with the car, as I often listen to then there...

I get ya! I don't even associate to a person anymore, it was a feeling that got me through something hard

One of my ex's tried to pin November Rain on us as our song whilst we watched them play it live... I was like nah Image

It's weird that you need driving music to be consistant, my driving music reflects my mood

Was it with your first time by any chance? :shifty:

haha, no no....It was the day I met a person who was very important in my life, that song was playing. That day was a pretty crazy and funny day, one of the best of my life. So everytime I hear it , great memories comes to my mind. Even if the song itself it's sad.

November rain is amazing. It's one of my favorite songs ever.

I do have some songs/albums that i associate with some people also..like for instance "Massive Attack - Mezzanine" reminds me of one of my exs, and i haven't been able to listen to it like the old times cause of that :facepalm and alot of "Sublime" songs remind me of my friends.

But one of the songs i relate to the most is this one
