good track, I do love listening to this kind of Em more than serial killer Relapse Em, too bad he replaced it with some of his worst ever for Encore

I used to really love this track, and still think it's good but nothing that special. I do like his passion in it though.

- Em used the accent because performing and rapping was all new to him again, being sober.

can you explain? I don't get the connection

he's spit better verses on the topic, it's very literal and deprived of irony.

You speak as if being ironic is a stronger technique than being literal.
I guess I just see how using irony is automatically better than being straightforward.

Yes I do... Because I think it is. Complex irony takes a better understanding of English, humour and interaction than complex literal.

Its like he wasn't comfortable using his normal voice without drugs, so he used that accent a lot.

As he's been getting more and more comfortable, we haven't heard it a lot, have we?

Nah I think it's just because he wants to sound different. He tries to sound different every album and he started to play with accents on Encore but tried to do it more comically.

Then on Relapse he just made the use of accents more fully realized and used them to emphasize rhyme schemes and bend words. I think it's just to sound fresh.
