Mosh

Am I the only one who thinks Em should have done more with this?

I love the conept and meaning behind it, I just feel that with such an incredible Dre beat (one of my favourites) and the brilliant atmosphere the opening stormy background gives, that Em would come out with a lyrical tirade as its all set up to do so.

Unfortunately, the lyrics are just so simple. Solid but nothing about average for his standards.

I like the song and all, I just feel Em could have done much more with it and improved it dramatically.

I think it's a good song, lyrics were kinda simple but very effective.

But I feel he shoulda released this as a street single and earlier and it shouldn't have been on the album because imo, a song that has no purpose over time isn't something you should put on an album. It shoulda been on the bonus disc and another should have been made for the album.

I think he kinda meant it to be simplified lyrics. n the song, he says something like "let me simplify the rhyme...." but yeah, I agree it's a good track, but he could've done better, I hope he does more strong political songs, the very few he has are great.

Menzo wrote:Yeah he may have rhymed simply, but he had such a powerful message behind it. As long as the message gets through :y: I think it's a very tough song, so much strength behind each word.

I agree. A song doesn't have to be the most lyrically complex or amazing song if the message and thought behind it are good. It can be simple but still be powerful and effective and I think that's what Em was aiming for here (or both, his lyrics were lacking at this time and he conveniently wanted to make a lyrically simple but powerful song  )
