Was on the bus coming home and I thought about this idea of a thread.

Name the 5 highest points on Recovery, then the 5 lowest points, then 5 "improvements" you think it happened over the previous album (in that case, Relapse.)

What could be used as aspects: Song, verse, beat, anything.

my list is gonna be similar to Aone's (thanks for not letting the thread flop)

5 highest points:

1. Going Through Changes 3rd and 4th verses
2. No Love verse
3. Seduction verses
4. Ridaz & Session One beats
5. His sincereness on Talkin' 2 Myself (yep, I thought that was a good thing lmao)

5 lowest points:

1. Lazy puns (especially the ones on WBD and Cinderella Man)
2. WOAT delivery (examples: Cinderella Man, WBD, 25 to Life)
3. Relapse bashing
4. The fact that Going Crazy/Fame, HMWYBS and Fly Away aren't on the album.
5. Production

Improvements:

Use of emotion on the songs and subject matter (T2M, GTC)
Sometimes the fast flow was impressive (Not really an improvement, since the Relapse flow was amazing, but I like me some fast flow too).

Digressions:

Lack of Dr. Dre
Choosing bad beats
Shouting

And since I feel there was absolutely no improvement from Relapse, here are 5 digressions from Relapse....

1.Lack of Dr. Dre production
2.His flow got choppier/sloppier
3.Lack of attention to detail
4.Incoherent lyrical content throughout
5.Excessively shouting lyrics, IN OTHER WORDS HE WAS SCREAMING WAY TOO MUCH!

Aside from that, I still rate the album a 7.... half of the album is great/good, which saves it from being a complete mess.

What was incoherent about the lyrical content?

3. No Love verse reasserts that Em is the greatest of all time
4. Parallels between relationship with women/music on several songs
5. Not Afraid is a true, proper return to mainstream music for Em

1. Awful Production
2. Way too much screaming

4. Em doesn't do hooks
5. Won't Back Down is atrocious
