That's the weirdest part lol. I've really tried to make sense of this before...the math makes sense besides the fact that she says "we got 48". Is she saying that because they're cutting it they have an extra 48 which makes up half of the 96 it should be? I just don't know lmao

I checked up on Rap Genius and they say that it is 48 because she is selling with a partner, so each get half. But what doesn't make sense is in the first part she's talking "grams", the next part is "profit" -- they're not comparable because they don't have the same units!! And you can't subtract the number you get from 8. That would result in a negative number...unless she's losing money in which case it is loss, not profit .

Lmao. It's just that I've listened to It Was Written a lot so I've had time to think about it and it's like part of me wants it to make sense when I hear it lol
