Yeah, that was my rating as well. I still like the individual songs, but I can tell why people would think it's boring.

It's reception so far reminds me of Watching Movies With The Sound Off. Some people really dig the production, while others would rather stab their dick hole.

Yeah. I can see why people are bashing it. The concept is there, but poorly executed at times. The production is still great, but REALLY lacks diversity (would like to see Logic on some vintage preem production). The lyrics.. nothing mind-blowing, but nothing terrible. I do love how he gets really personal on this record though. The GKMC comparisons dont really bother me. Keep in mind he's still a rookie and young (24) so he has PLENTY of time to grow. I still think this is a solid debut btw WMWTSO was hot yo

Some songs man, because they're too awesome you'd wish you could feel the artist's pain.

He basically dedicated the whole album to it, he mentions Nikki or hints at her in almost every track.

I love the little clips at the end of songs telling about the album, makes it seem so personal

I respect this kid and I enjoy watching his interviews and how he carries himself. He is clearly intelligent and authentic. It's obvious that he is talented and he has a good fanbase. I forced myself through this album twice now, and it just isn't for me. I have wanted to see this kid win since the beginning, because he busts his ass and he does it for the art. I hope he continues to win even though I'm not a fan of his work.

I kinda see where the internet hate is coming from... there are seriously grounds for a lawsuit on more than half the fucking album.

if you didn't tell me this was Logic on "I'm Gone" & not Kendrick I wouldn't be able to tell you. Under Pressure even cuts off mid sentence like Kendrick's. The beat on "Metropolis" is a direct interpolation of "Sing About Me" & then the 2nd half of "Under Pressure" uses Kendrick's same techniques on the exact same song.
On the other songs the kid sounds like J. Cole. I'd even go as far as to say hes a replica of j cole

He has to do a better job of differentiating himself.
