"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

Third Week At No. 1 For Eminem's 'Recovery' On Billboard 200
July 14, 2010

EMINEM
Editor: Keith Caulfield; Contributors: Alex Vitoulis; Editorial Director: Silvio Pietroluongo

Eminem makes it a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "Recovery" while Drake's "Thank Me Later" hangs out at No. 2 for a third frame . . . The chart's highest debut is the first solo effort by OutKast's Big Boi, "Sir Lucious Left Foot . . . The Son of Chico Dusty," at No. 3 . . . Also starting high are new albums from Enrique Iglesias, Bret Michaels and Kylie Minogue.

FLASH POINTS

• Eminem's "Recovery" is the first album to notch three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in four months as it holds atop the tally with 229,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The last set to string three weeks in a row at No. 1 was Sade's "Soldier of Love" back in March.

• With "Recovery's" third-week total, it's also the first album to sell at least 200,000 in each of its first three weeks since Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" in January and February.

• Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" holds at No. 1 on Digital Songs with 314,000 (up 12%).

Not to far off 2x platinum in Canada...

Slim Shady made it a triple play on the Canadian album charts this week.

Eminem's latest effort, "Recovery," remained in the top spot for a third consecutive week, selling 31,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures.

It has racked up 156,000 in sales since its release.

Eminem also held on to No. 1 stateside, tallying 229,000 copies of "Recovery" in the U.S., according to Billboard.com.

Back in Canada, hip-hop sensation Drake held steady at No. 2 with "Thank Me Later," Jack Johnson's "To the Sea" moved up one to No. 3, and Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" went from No. 6 to No. 4.

Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" slipped two notches to No. 5, Sarah McLachlan's "Laws of Illusion" dipped one to No. 6, and the "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" soundtrack rebounded one position to No. 7.

Rounding out the top 10 was the debut of Kylie Minogue's new album "Aphrodite" at No. 8, Lady Gaga's "The Fame" at No. 9, and Ozzy Osbourne's "Scream" at No. 10.

In the U.S., Drake placed second, followed by Big Boi's "Sir Luscious Left Foot... The Son of Chico Dusty in third, "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in fourth, and Justin Bieber in fifth.

Yahoo - Paul Grein:

Recovery logs its third week at #1 on The Billboard 200. It's the first rap album to spend its first three weeks at #1 since 50 Cent's The Massacre spent its first six weeks on top in the spring of 2005.

Eminem's current single, "Love The Way You Lie" (featuring Rihanna), holds at #1 on Hot Digital Songs for the third straight week. The smash sold 314,000 copies, bringing its three-week total to 936,000.

"Not Afraid," which has sold 1,750,000 copies in 10 weeks, has the anthemic, inspirational appeal of Eminem's biggest hit, 2002's "Lose Yourself," which has sold 2,830,000 copies.

Recovery sold 60,000 digital copies this week, bringing its three-week total to 397,000. No album has ever sold that many digital copies in just three weeks. After three weeks, Coldplay's Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends had sold 394,000.

Recovery is already #9 on the list of all-time top digital album sellers. It's the #1 rap title on the list, dethroning Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3, which has sold 380,000 digital copies.
