Getting some new gear...

Postby AbramIsaac » Feb 9th, '10, 23:56

What's up TR?

Thought I'd post on some of the new gear I'm getting.
SX Deimos (Wondering if anyone will notice... :shifty: )

I'm pretty stoked. I already have:

M-Audio Axiom 25 Keyboard Controller
Shure SM58 Mic
Martin Backpacker Classic (Guitar)
and an Ibanez Acoustic

Expect some new shit from me in the near-ish future. I've already got some back-tracks laid down, and when I get this guitar, it's on like Donkey Kong. Plus, I'll be able to record vocals again with the Alesis.

:sweating:
Elvis had a Gibson Les Paul.

That one's actually a clone, though--an SX Deimos. However, I've heard that the sound quality can't be beat for the price, and some say that the sound is almost on par with the Les Paul guitar...not bad, considering there's something like a 600-700 dollar difference.

I'm really stoked.

But that's not what I was referring to, when I wondered if anyone would notice. You may not see it if you don't know how a guitar is normally set up...something's backwards.

I think you've got it.

It's a left-handed guitar, so it's a backwards guitar, technically.

My lefty status gives me a creative edge. :shifty:

Awesome stuff, better send me some great guitar instrumentals :smoking:

Actually, Jimi Hendrix played a right-handed guitar, but he flipped it upside down, correct?

I could've learned to play it backwards, but it's harder to pick with the wrong hand. I'll send you some stuff though, for sure. I've been doing mainly chords since I've been using the acoustic guitars, but this electric should really open things up for me.
