Pretty much what DGAF said, I just write and the rhymes come to me as I write. It's more like a train of thought piece which rhymes. Then I go back and edit it for phrasing and shit and maybe add some more syllables in there and shit. Usually I put the beat on replay and just write and check what I wrote works then carry on.

It depends what you're writing as well. If you have a very hard hitting punchline that you love, you will often think o the filler set-up afterwards.

True, battle verses are the only time I really set up shit and then fill in after.

What I mean is, do you write your A B rhyme scheme or whatever scheme you choose and than fill in the blanks?

I tend to write like this. I'm all over the place when I write and that's why I struggle to write cohesively. Takes me time to put something together. Occasionally i'll just write straight up lines and then change parts but I tend to write how you've posted there.

EDIT: I use notepad on my phone literally every day to write in. I like pen and paper but the way I write has me just crossing shit out constantly anyway so it can be a lot easier in my phone.

I don't have a writing style, if I think about it. It just sorta...happens. The page is usually a mess of random ideas, words and rhymes and eventually it'll make its way to a verse.

abab rhyme schemes and rhyme schemes after that are more complex just write rhyme schemes like that

the simplest scheme u can do is aaaa so just experiment
