Do You Miss School ?

for the older heads currently who have left education, or if your still in education do you think you'll miss it.


i personaly dont, everyone always sayed "i know you hate school now but when you leave you'll wish you were back" well not for me, i left at 15 and have never looked back, i hated school, mostly because of teachers i really think they need more training to be able to handle this generation and its not looking to get any better.

i hated alot of subjects and it led to alot of bad behaviour not because i was a bad guy, boredome in a subject i didnt find intresting with a teacher who made it less intresting.

i hated the sterotypes on the school yard, i hated the bullies who now that ive left school dont say a word wrong and act like nice guys, i hated the girls always goin for the complete asshole coz he was kool coz he smokes a joint in school..like woah your crazy call the FBI! i hated the bitching from everyone and hated the way it made me act when i tried to fit in to its crazy world.

if school is suppose to get you ready for the real world, it doesnt, i didnt become my own person till i left school and even then it took a long time, i never had confidence in school but was always fine out of it and pretty much despised that.

People are different and have different experiences.

I liked school, but then loved 6th form. It was so relaxed and casual apart from exams. I was the kind of kid that wasn't popular, but could go from one social group to the next, and get on with just about everyone, from the drama people, to my ladish mates.

But even though i loved it, when it came to the end of it, i felt like i needed to do something different. At school i was with familiar people, i had no responsibilities or real independence still being at home having meals cooked for me and shit.

Now i'm at Uni, living by myself, looking after myself, being independent, in a different country miles away from home, doing so many more drugs, drinking way more, my first love, my first time and uncovering hundreds upon thousands of people at the place for completely new mates.

So there's no denying that i liked school, but your times up when it's up.

I'm still in school but it's Tertiary Education though. When I was in Secondary school aka High School, I thought I wanted to get out of there badly. But now as I read my friend's blog, who is still in secondary school, I miss the good times. I should have tresured every moment in school and I miss Rachel. Whatever.

Why do people in Syngapore have names like Rachel and Emily lol

Cuz they think they're cool. LMAO.

Basically it's because they're Chinese and they're Christian at the same time, so they need Christian name. Like, Rachel Fang Lui Chia or Perry Teo Eng Tseng. Or Johnny Yeo Beng Seng. LMAO.

I miss school only because i wish i had tried harder, and i'd probably go back if i could, but the last two years of secondary school were hell for me with arguments with friends etc, so no i don't miss it that much. I miss junior and infant school though, they were the shit

Hmm.. yes. I miss this feeling of carelessness to be honest. I knew I've got the university-part next, so I didn't have to think about the "adult" life - finding a job, new responsibilities and a sort of "new" life. It was all so far away and now when I'm doing my last year at the university, I feel like my childhood/youth is definitely over and it'll never come back and I'll have to move on to this "adult" life, full of new duties, disappointments and problems.

I also miss the lessons to be honest. I miss how we always had fun at maths - me and my 3 friends had this competition going on - we all sucked @ maths, so whenever there was a test we waited for the results and the winner was the one with the lowest score. I remember my 7,5/50 score
I really didn't like one of my German teachers, she was from Germany and she was really passionate at teaching us German, but for me she was a total pain in the ass, so each Tuesday morning was a real struggle for me and everyone had great fun watching me suffer for 90 minutes. I miss that too, cause I'd often end up drawing, daydreaming or checking out guys in the football field

I miss how we used to ditch the classes during the last year, which was kinda stupid considering the fact we had final exams in May.. But no one really cared that much. I hated german so I didn't apply to the exam and so did my mate - we'd always end up in the school caffeteria or KFC not far away.

I miss the school trips! And this feeling of awesomeness when we managed to get drunk and didn't get caught not that the teachers didn't know that, but it was fun anyways. We had this cool skiing camp on my 2nd year and then a trip to Cracov on 3rd year and it was great. Probably one of the best trips I've ever had with my class.

I also loved how our headmaster knew each one of us. I never really knew how he manages that, guess that's a headmasters' thing to know all their students. But I went to my high school yesterday and he saw me and said "hi Nina" and I was surprised that he still recognizes me after 3 years.. Awesome! That's one of the things I don't like at the university - we're all anonymous there.. I think I miss this "domestic" atmosphere of 300 students, knowing at least each other's names. It was really cool, going down the corridor and having people smile at you, being like "sup?" or "hey guys, have you already had this test in polish? how was it?"..

Yeah, I'm definitely going to miss that part of my life..

I loved school until it became worst at difficulty. I stopped passin' grades easily. Had to study more and more, and more... every year, since 1995, I've been passin 9 months a years in school, with no rest. I'm at the end of it, only 3 years left. I'm done with this shit. All my childhood was ignored by almost all the other students cuz I was a nerd. I don't miss 'em.
School is the biggest fail ever. Useless to the max. I am 99 % sure I won't miss anythin.. friends, I can get'em without school. Party, I can get too. So I got nothin' to miss in school.
If there's somethin I miss, is childhood. But I can still have fun, even grown up.

i miss no responsibility ....i got a 3.4 something average GPA all through high skool (outta 4.0..just in case you europeans don't have this system)...never did homework..never studied....never really tried everything came to me with the ease....even my worst subject...math...i handled at a pace other kids in my class only dreamed of.....now i'm in college..and fuck that shit....as far as personality...i feel what bar was saying...i was the kid noone understood..i mean i was still cool with people..and i was really cocky...and then i got a taste of the "real world" and it really changed me....

I miss high school. I miss my undergrad school too. And I will eventually miss grad school.

But once I have a job, money, apartment, dog, 55 inch plasma TV... yeah, I'll miss school. I won't really want to go back though.

HS was the shit...I didnt do shit just chilled and fucked around in the hallways and cafeteria. College is so ..much more different, alot of the people there are more serious and shit and classes are boring as hell.
