Are kids growin up too quickly?

hey, question is same like in topic. As u remember not so long ago in UK police stopped 14yo prostitute. Every year there's more n more kids<14 - lets say 17> who hv their kids. I feel kinda sick hmm embarassed, when in Cracov i see kids wit cigarettes in their hands walkin through the city, or sittin in pubs clubs etc. Wanna know ur opinion.

It's fucked up, but even in 4 years since high school, I hear from my friend who is a senior now at the same school, all the crazy shit, and it boggles my mind. My school turned into delinquents, and even seeing these kids, they are all lacking morals.

My mom is a lunch lady at the middle school, and she tells me all the shit they say and do, and it disgusts me, it's kind of sad, but that's the way it is apparently, and I don't ever see it changing. America is the land of the free, but people abuse that, and it's terrible

I thought that in my last years of school, too. I had to see all these little idiots and assholes in the school bus and always thought: fuck, we weren't that bad in that age, were we.
But when I think about my 5th class, when they almost strangulate each other (that really happend ) I know, there are always so dumb kids
it's just now these kids are the cool ones so everybody wants to be like them
and you know, more parents don't have their kids under control anymore - so they just lack of respect and manners. they have no rules anymore, so to breack rules they have to do harder things. I mean turn on TV and you see, everything's been done before so what can they experience to grow from that.
and of course, see their icons and idols who they wanna become like. ie: if you are a little girl, idolizing Paris Hilton (for whatever) I don't wonder they look and act like little whores. or as a boy trying to be as cool and hard as 50 is, I don't wonder they speak and act like assholes.
I mean not everyone is doing so, but there are enough who do and they are admired for that.

but I will never understand how this can happen:
nowadays here are boys (~15-20) attacking people in a bus or a train for 20 bucks or because they said "please, could you turn the volume down" or just because they've looked at them in a wrong way - and almost kill them with bare hands. I mean, two boys killed a 40-years-old man because he just jumped in when the boys attacked some younger kids for 20€ and a handy or something. the man just wanted to protect the little ones and got brutaly bashed on a trainstation for that

couple of years ago, in polish train 2 young guys threw young girls out. when the get caught, and judge asked them "why?"
one of them ansered "cause i didnt like her clothes. she looked so bad"

your smoking point caught me the most..i see them little kids like everyday,they damage their body in such a young age..it's sad to a point...and the question shit was just the top of it..
also the alcohol abuse...i see little kids in front of the supermarket lurkin' for some 18+ year old to get there shit..i was asked too but said no...i dont know how they keep gettin their shit..
i dont wanna blame the parents/adults or anything...but the problem evolves somewhere...

actually I agree with you, this is bad and should not been done, but it's not new
when I was 9, my cousin (just a year plus) wanted to introduce me to cigarettes - I always had the confidence to say no, because I don't see the point in smoking and drinking
but my cousins and their friends did and my aunt knew. they could took her cigarettes and they got alcohol from my aunts bar
I mean I was 12 when my parents gave me alcohol to drink for the first time

so this is something you can blame the kids, the society and the parents for. it's something made off all these things. they don't grow up quicker, they do it more rigorous

For sure. Not only with substances like cigarettes, alcohol and drugs, but technology as well. My teacher said that her 6 year old son asked her for a fuckin iPod Touch - and my cousin who is in the fuckin 8th grade got a cellphone. For what?

I think parents are giving their kids what they want because 'they can'.

But even the kids who just entered high school this year, they've got a lottttttt of attitude. I'll admit that I'll have an attitude as well, but ONLY if I'm pushed to use it. I'm not a perma-bitch, meanwhile these 9th graders (juniors) are acting like they are so fuckin tough. One of 'em bumped into me the other day and was like, "Ayee sorry bro!" as if he was cool or something, or maybe he thought we were on the same wavelength. I just looked at him, shook my head ( ) and said, "Get the fuck away from me".

hyym fuck.. i get my first handy when i was hmm 6? <now im 18> but well, about cigarettes. it's like "o my best friend is smokin, and everybody from our school loves him, i'll also try" but then they dont think that maybe they'll smoke forever. they just want to be cool in this one moment. In Cracov i noticed also that in every club <mostly 18+> there are playin well kids. there are girls who look like 18<and in real they are hmm max 14> you know what i mean? really really strong make-up, cigarette in their mouth, beer<or random drink> and their hands, and later? they are suckin someone's dick in a fuckin club-toilet..

And some are forced to grow up. I (and no, this is far from a sympathy plea) am forced, as a 16 year old, to make sure there is groceries in the house, and I must make sure that my sister makes it to school every morning. My mother was diagnosed with terminal colonary cancer in 2008, and my father hasn't bothered to call since I was 7 years old. I have no other family. So, I'm absolutely forced to 'grow up' quickly.

I find it a blessing more than anything. I feel that it'll save me a lot of bullshit in the future.
