Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley -- Easily one of my favorite books, ever. Ahead of it's time, without a doubt. The Doors of Perception & Heaven and Hell is a nice piece by him too.
Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card -- Nice book, but I preferred practically all of the other books in that series to EG. Xenocide or perhaps Shadow of the Hedgemon being my favorites.
The Stand, by Stephen King -- Great book. Long, but all of my SK favorites are. Needful Things and The Tommyknockers are great as well.
I've read more, but those were the ones that stood out to me from that list.
