No they're not. They're fiction.

Regardless of how much you personally believe in them, there isn't a single scrap of scientifically sound evidence for a single ghost in the history of humanity. So by all accounts, it's grammatically correct to say ghosts are fiction and if you believe in them despite zero evidence, you're technically deluded.

And you 99% believe in them? That's pretty shocking.

It amazes me how many people denounce the belief in god (I'm an atheist btw) but then say about ghosts "oh yeah, might be something there" as if it's any less fucking ridiculous.

People just want to believe in them because it makes life a little more mysterious and they hope their dead relatives and friends are in another world. Well, just because you want something to be true doesn't mean it is and fact is stranger than fiction anyway.

The mysteries of the Universe, the depths of oceans and the limitless scope of intellect are far more interesting than nonsensical babble of the mind like ghosts and fortune tellers. Utter trash.

It's also hilarious how easily people seem to be convinced. I know some people who believe in them from seeing a flash or saying their door opened by itself lmfao. As if that immediately proves ghosts exist. Think of how many millions of other logical, much more likely explanations you've got before you reach the impossibility-realm, yet people go straight to that.

It just shows humans vulnerability to the tendency of believing stories over truths. We require explanations for everything and because some people would rather it be true that it was a spirit that moved their curtain as opposed to... Wind, they choose to believe it and think the rest of us should too.

And if anybody asks me what if I saw a ghost, my answer is simple. First, you need to define what you mean by that, do you mean a walking dead person, a man carrying his head? Or some cartoony abstract Casper like image that we ourselves have purposely imagined... Either way - In order for somebody to survive their death, the laws of Science would have to be wrong.

So if I saw a ghost, I'd have to ask myself if it's more likely that the laws of physics were suspended in animation for my viewing pleasure and specifically to allow that person the survival of their death or do I think it's more likely I'm delusional and hallucinating. Let me tell you, the latter is infinitely more likely always. So, I'd go with that.

Yes, I believe that spirits outside a body exist. My brother has seen them in our house before. I haven't had that experience personally, but yes, I believe that Ghosts/spirits outside the body.

i believe that ghosts exist, and i've had many different experiences of my own to back my reply up:

when i was 5 yrs old, i woke up to my "parents" calling my name (Kevin) a couple times and i asked, "what?" they said "we want to talk to you son". so i get outta bed, go to their room and they're dead asleep!

same house: i seen my closet slam, window slam, rolling above me (no attic, steep roof)

AND Most of all! something tapped on my window in our spare bedroom outside and it was staring at me, a green thing (alien?) it looked weird with bluish color veins, i screamed like a little bitch and cried b/c it "disappeared" before my mom could even see it, but she also agrees the house was haunted.

this is also related but a different house, something yanked my arm when i put it behind couch.
while playing with a ouija board, something as well tapped on my friend's living room glass and he has no trees near his window, we just asked for the spirit to let us know it's presence in the area.

i will never do that shit again!


my friend has ghost stories and so does his aunt about her house... that ghost does pranks tho...
