And don't forget that he would be following Taylor Swift, who got the award as some sort of demented pity gift because there was this "poor blonde virginal snowflake attacked by scary black man" meme going around. I'm indifferent to Kanye in general, but IMO what was going on in the media was just nasty. And it didn't die down for months. Anyway, after that debacle last year, winning Album of the Year? Totally meaningless. If there was doubt about it before, IMO there isn't now. Doesn't mean I won't be happy if he wins anyway, I'm hypocritical that way.

I don't get why ppl think Taylor Swift won only because of the Kaybe? you guys know her albums sold 6 millions and is critically acclaimed right? pretty sure they gave her the award because it was the best selling album in so many years, and even though it's childish in content at least it's not about sex/dance..
