I'd guess if 50 doesn't find a way to take the world by storm by then, Kanye will win it

and that's a good thing, he deserves it, as long as weezy doesn't win, i'm aight

And forget MBDTF winning Rap Album, it might take AOTY with all the hoopla surrounding it and the Grammy hating Hip Hop backlash

Nah, i don't know. The Grammy Academy pretty much hates artists like Eminem and Kanye.

They pretty much have no choice when the category is "Best Rap Album" lol.

I'm pretty confident MBDTF will be nominated for Album of the Year in 2012.

^ Yep I agree and so far it looks like it's gonna win AOTY. Just imagine. It's the album most critically acclaimed and if it doesn't win, the Grammys are gonna get so much heat.

Well, Every Eminem Album has been nominated. 808's wasnt. You can claim the "It wasnt submitted for Best Rap Album" or "It wasnt Rap" but the album didnt get nominated for anything. So while he will probably be technically 4 for 4 next year. You have to remember every one of Em's has been nominated for Best Rap Album. Not everyone of Kanye's has. You can blame his label for not submitting it for the Best Rap Album. Point is 808's wasnt nominated at all. So neither Em or Ye are perfect as far as every album they have released has won Best Rap Album. I would take 5 of 6 over 4 of 4 anyday if thats what it turns out to be. Then Em will probably have a rap album out in time for the 2013 grammys. Ye may have one out for those as well. So Em very well could be going for his 6 of 7 when Kanye is going for his 5 of 5.

Still...Eminem has a two Best Rap Album lead on Kanye. It's a given, unless Wayne releases a fantastic album, that MBDTF will win Best Rap Album. Maybe Detox could give it a run if it came out before the deadline. But still.

which is what the members of grammy committee are looking for. i think the crossover feel to outkast's album was what got them the AOTY. voting committee can't take straight up rap lyricism.
