Religion=A way to control you
You think your personal attacks make up for what you lack?

I don't even listen to IT, that's just using common sense.

I was born a Irish Catholic but I'm a atheist now..
I still have faith in god but I think god is all we have to make sense of things..
I mean, yeah religion can be abused to brainwash you, but sometimes it just wants to tell us something..

When they talk about how life came from the water, in the bible it says that the world was made in 7 days...
Well in actually fact, it was...A protoplanet collided with us and formed a sphere in a week.
then the atmosphere formed from the volcanic disturbances etc..

Anyway..

I guess evolution is just a special thing tbh..
It's just a miracle of sorts that brought us into the world.

I don't mind what the bible says about what happened, but we all know that you cannot deny science, even if your religious..
That's what I learnt anyway.

I'm not brainwashed in anyway shape or form. I make my own opinions on certain subjects and i question everything. I just happen to believe that a divine being is the only sensible answer to many questions. Would you say that Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein didn't use common sense? they both have acknowledge that a god is possible.

Yeah...They both had a version of 'The God Theory.'
It's possible that something created us...
Anything is possible really.

Did I say they brainwash you? Didn't think so.

They use it to control you, and yes they are using it to control even you. It's just a huge example of "be good or Santa won't get you any presents." "Be good or you'll go to hell." Religion is just a way to make people behave.

Is getting people to behave morally a bad thing?

Yeah but they also use it as an excuse for things. The Crusades, the Inquisition, The Salem Witch Trials, The War On Terror, most American and European Imperialism, and many other things. So you decide if it's making the world a better place

well....The Catholic Charities Appeal is the charity that uses the most of their donations towards actual causes... 98 cents out of every dollar. For hospitals, schools for the mentally and physically impaired, houses that provide shelter for unexpected teen moms, and many many more. So it has it's pros and cons.

Religion was a way of controlling the masses long ago. If you did something bad you would be punished in hell. It acting somewhat as a law if you get what I mean. Anyway in my first 2 years of Medicine(3rd year right now) we had to study a lot of genetics and this came up quite a lot. Evolution is both a fact and a theory just as gravity.

For example gravity can be referred to as an observed fact such as masses attracting another and the theory is used to explain the facts such as why masses attract to one another. Through studying evolution we have studied it by observing species that reproduce quickly so we can observe generations after generations(Something you can't exactly do with humans since we have long life spans) But a common study is fruit flies and it has been evidenced that evolution occurs. We can even look at moths species that have turned from white to black over a few generations in order to blend in with manmade smoggy environments are one such example.

Even if you take a look at human fossil records that have been found which date a fair way back you see differences. It is a well known fact that nature tries to eliminate that which is not used. Heck look at it this way not as many people have wisdom teeth growing now as even not long ago as 100 years ago. It is still common but not as common. Through evolution the body is basically adjusting knowing that wisdom teeth are not needed in this day and age. My kids when they are born will probably not have wisdom teeth. Long ago we may have needed our wisdom teeth but it is now not needed. Our Jaw is smaller than our ancestors a long time ago.

no time to go in depth and elaborate on human evolution maybe a little later

Everyone has a different definition of Behave or being good. Just because you have a definition of good don't mean to someone else they'll agree.

Same shit with Morals, i mean why does Religion have commandments? And if you break one of them does that make you a bad person
