Most of the entertainment world is still clamoring over the birth of Jay-Z and Beyonce's first child, Blue Ivy Carter, but 50 Cent thinks that people are taking it too seriously. This week the rapper/actor/mogul tweeted a Photoshopped image of baby Blue, with Jay-Z’s head pasted onto a baby’s body. "Y'all play too much congratulations to Jay-Z and Beyonce baby," Fif joked. "Blue Ivy Carter is gorgeous."
Jay and 50 haven't always gotten along in the past, with the two taking mild lyrical jabs at each other in their songs, despite them appearing on a remix of the latter's "I Get Money" with Diddy. 50's follow-up posts were more sincere. "I'm sure Jay is the happiest he's ever been in his life," he congratulated. "...I remember when MARQUISE was born I was so happy. I want to have another kid one day.”
50's lighthearted messages are a change from earlier this month, when he lashed out at Interscope Records for a lack of support for his new music. He has since apologized, saying that he wants to preserve his friendship with label head Jimmy Iovine.
After initial reports, which claimed that Jay and Beyonce rented an entire floor of NYC’s Lenox Hill Hospital to give birth to their daughter, a hospital executive shut down the rumors as completely false. Following Blue’s birth Jay-Z dropped the song "Glory," dedicated to his newborn, even listing her as a feature on the track.
