DETROIT, MI - Metro Detroit residents fear that a serial killer is on the loose after two instances where human flesh were reportedly found since August in Macomb County by sewer cleanup crews.
ABC News reported Saturday that police in Warren found a "gruesome discovery" recently: "precisely-cut cubes of human flesh hidden in a drainage pipe."
And the human flesh, according to ABC News, bears "a shocking similarity to other remains found last August in Sterling Heights near another nearby stretch of drain pipe."
The news outlet reports the recent remains appear to be almost exact matches to the Sterling Heights discovery, and cites Detective Mel Nearing as confirming the Sterling Heights discovery of 10 pieces of flesh.
Police, according to ABC News, sent the new remains to a lab in Texas for DNA testing.
The testing is expected to determine if flesh matches the body parts discovered last summer, which reportedly belonged to an unidentified obese white female.
