I'm not going to bother organizing it if nobody is keen. This kind of setup would require people to be actively checking the forum since they will only have 24 hours to write a response. That is plenty of time when you think about it, providing you dedicate half an hour of the day to writing.

There's no point dropping a verse then going MIA.

I'd be happy to pair people up who want to do audio. Most people will want text battles though so unless there is overwhelming interest in an audio tournament I'll leave it as text, unless both contestants in a round wish to do audio.

This would be a league where every person would battle each other once. The point system is as follows:
2 points for winning the first verse
1 point for winning the flip

If the first verse receives a vote of 2-2 each player is awarded 1 point and the flip verse is worth 2 points. Winner of the flip verse receives 2 more points. If the flip verse is a tie each opponent is awarded 2 points.

The top player after all battle is declared minor premier, then the top 4 enter the playoffs.

#1 vs #2 winner progresses to final
Loser plays the winner of #3 vs #4 to see who else advances.

-this means if you place #1 or #2 you get a second chance.
-Winner is the Major Premier


Sound good? This means we can space the battles out a bit and not be on so much of a deadline like we would in a tournament.
