Canada doesn't need us to back them up though.

You guys are safe...no one would dare mount an offense against you, because it would be unacceptable to the United States due to how strategically dangerous it would be for us to have a hostile on the border. You could disagree with everything we did, and we would still keep anyone from coming at you guys.

Canada could be a much greater country if they just told us to fuck off a bit more often.

No, what I'm saying is this: even if you didn't agree with us politically, we wouldn't allow anyone to attack you. If someone else invaded Canada--even if you guys didn't back us up all the time--we would still defend you because we wouldn't want a true enemy so close to us.

Disagreements with Canada wouldn't escalate to military action. Anyone batshit crazy enough to invade the countries that border us is also too crazy to allow to be there.

We protect Israel no matter what they do. When they break their treaty agreements by making illegal settlements on the west bank, we will at most say "please don't do that", to which they will respond "Fuck you". We block Palestinian statehood with our UN Security Council veto authority, and of course provide them with military technology and support.

Personally, I don't give a fuck about Israel. I'm not interested in America being in that part of the world, and I'm sure that most of the people in that part of the world (save for Israel) don't particularly care for us being there either. At the same time, we feel the need to try to keep that area secure due to the flow of resources necessary to keep the world turning, so what can you do?

I don't care who's right, who's wrong, whatever...I just don't like the fact that we're fucking around over there at all.

Conservative or Liberal? How about neither. Democratic Socialism is the way to go. Both conservative and liberal are inherently destructive and anti-proletariat due to the neo-liberal economic framework that they each embrace and attempt to present their ideas in.

Both mindsets are equally flawed.

Liberals are too impractical on defense and conservatives are totally hypocritical and self-righteous on social issues.

Liberals are doing nothing about entitlement spending and conservatives are unhealthily obsessed with tax cuts for the wealthy.

Classical liberal, in the sense that I believe in a minimal government and a free-market economy.

The way in which the term liberal is used nowadays, is quite different to that of the 18th & 19th century.

A liberal today supports the idea of individual freedom, and the means to achieve that objective is through the collective, i.e. big government.

Whilst the classical liberal has the same objective, individual freedom, its means to achieve that goal are through individuals, i.e. small government.

Well, one could argue that there are certain differentiating aspects between the two, but yes, in general, they are the same. The reason I use 'classical liberal' is because it is not from modern libertarians I have been influenced, but rather through the likes of John Locke, Adam Smith and Milton Friedman.

Oh please...

Tell me, in what way does globalization make the principles presented in their works less valid?

What pisses me off is how so many people hop on a bandwagon and regurgitate the stances of the popular fucks in their party across the board. They're just such fucking sheep. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

"I'm a conservative":

"You leftist hippie. You tree-hugging, bleeding-heart liberal!"

Taxes: Lower 'em. Less government spending and lower taxes will fix the economy. We need to get outta this fucking debt.

Health Care: Ya'll just want handouts. No. More. Government. Spending.

Abortion: The lawd says it's a sin. It's a chald and it's murder.

Death Penalty: Frah 'em! Thou shalt not kill, or thou shalt be killed.

Israel: We need to support Israel. But not because we give a fuck about the Jews, but because Israel is our ally and we need their strong military to help us in the war on terror. Remember, the Jews are going to hell, according to our religion. They don't accept Jesus Chrahst as the savior.

Gay Marriage: The lawd says homosexual acts are an abomination. Besides which, marriage is a religious institution. Letting homosexuals get married would destroy the sanctity of marriage.

Wars in Iraq/Afghanistan: Our national security was threatened.

"I'm a liberal"

"You right wing, redneck, fascist Republican, bro!"

Taxes: We need to start taxing the rich people more, bro. Those right wing fascists just want lower taxes for the rich. We need our federal government to boost the economy.

Health Care: If you get sick in this country, the Republicans just want to say, "fuck you, you're on your own, dude." Apparently, humanity is way beyond them. They have free health care in Canada, bro.

Abortion: A woman has the right to choose what do you with her body, bro.

Death Penalty: With this one, it's pretty split.

Israel: You zionist fuckhead! Israel is an expansionist, imperialist nation, bro. You can't just put some Jews on Arab soil and expect everyone to get along. Give the Palestinians their land back! The British fucked up, dude.

Gay Marriage: Not allowing gays to get married infringes on equal rights. If two people love each other, who is anyone to tell them they can't get married?

War in Iraq/Afghanistan: We invaded Iraq for oil, and 9/11 was Bush's fault, bro. (In extreme cases): Bush knocked down the towers. 9/11 was an inside job. The government puts fluoride in our water for mind control, and the Illuminati has their hand in every corrupt aspect we see.

I refuse to hop on board one of these pathetic teams. None of these idiots actually think for themselves. Their minds are made up and if they read a newspaper article or turn on the TV and see something with a "biased slant," they get really angry at the "idiot" from the other team. If they see someone from their team, though, "he's speaking the truth!"
Canning: What will it say on your tombstone?
Charlie Sheen: Something dot com.

How is individual freedom "pathetic?" I don't see how telling everyone to do them and do what they want is a bad position? The conservative side is pathetic, basing laws off of a book instead of actual morals. If this is a free country then it seems like liberalism is the way to go.

I just believe in individual freedom but I also believe that each individual is responsible for his or her own destiny. If you aren't willing to work then you shouldn't be given a free handout. If you are but you're just having trouble finding a job then that changes things..it's really based on circumstances. One man could get laid off unfairly, does he deserve punishment? Fuck no he doesn't. Not every liberal thinks things should come for free just like I'm sure not ever conservative is a cocksucking asshole. The only thing I believe should be free are vital medicines like insulin for diabetics. Like really, I don't want to pay JUST to survive come on now. We should pay for luxuries. And if you can't pay then what...you're dead? C'mon son!

I do kind of find it funny and ironic that conservatives are all about God and religion but they wouldn't help a bum on the street who is about to die of hunger. They wouldn't even hand him a dollar for a McDouble at fucking McDonalds. And yet these people believe in God, who apparently granted the "gift of life" to everyone. So a bum dying from hunger is a waste of life and sinful. Wouldn't a conservative want to make sure that sin isn't present in this world?

Idk I seem like I'm just rambling but I wanted to bring another perspective.
