Rap is the only genre where I cant remember anyone openly saying they are gay.

I am positive they have many topics to talk about other than their sex life but how about the voice that comes with the typical gay person, we all just agreed in the hip hop thread that voice presence is the biggest thing in becoming a rapper. So how would that work?

I agree. There are plenty of things to rap about and if you can't without mentioning girls you aren't creative. Gay rapper could rap about homosexuality, others reactions to it, street life, hip hop, politics, etc. However I think it could be funny listening to gay rapper rapping about guys at the same time other gays would probably like or hate it really hard.

BTW I'm not into Lupe so I don't really know but he looks like he doesn't rap about girls so often.

My point was Frank is a prominent figure in hip hop and is well-received by most everybody, therefore hip hop MUST accept the gay community as a whole and that's evidence. No one really gives a fuck if you're straight or gay anymore, you're right. I believe that if hip hop can accept Frank being gay, they could accept a rapper being gay. That was your question.
