I dont think Voluntary Euthanasia should be classified as a subset of suicide. Both are consequents of two different situations. A Child commiting suicide due to getting bullied in school or a man killing himself due to failures in life or a woman suffering from a painfull curable disease make an irrational decision. Simply because their life does not end with the temporary sufferings they are experiencing.
Whereas A person suffering from a prolonged non curable disease SHOULD be assisted in dieing to help end his sufferings.

you brought up good points but your getting to technical, if someone wants to really kill themselves do it as long as you don't kill others while doing it.

Those a-holes who commit murder-suicide come into play with what you said.

This topic made me think if the short story 'Welcome to the Monkey House'. Has anyone read it? It's set in the future where there's 17 billion people on earth, and they encourage you to ethically commit suicide to sway the overpopulation.
