Microsoft just jumped off a cliff lugging along their behemoth of a console, bleeding money from cuts sustained by forced online, attempts at competing with smart TVs, kinect 2, and general stupidity. Game, set, match.

The XBox1 seems to be an entertainment system.. I want a gaming system. Most likely getting both though.

Only thing that intrigued me was "15 exclusives within the next year". Assuming all of those arent BS Kinect games, that's very interesting.

Everything they showed wasnt new. Can you not do video chat, watch HBO and ESPN on your Xbox 360?

No Skype for 360, but I think the other 2 you mentioned are available. What do you mean they didn't show anything new though? They have 3 separate engines that work with each other, you can multitask, run your cable through your Xbox directly, and you can tell your Xbox to change inputs. I'd say that's pretty impressive and that's barely scratching the surface as to what the new Xbox brings to the table. Sports people will love the fact that you can watch your games and have your fantasy up right next to it (I'm not into this type of thing but I can understand how hardcore sports fans can be excited.)

On a side note, I'm playing Metro: Last Light on the 360 right now and wow, this game is awesome! The graphics for this are outstanding, I can't wait to play the Xbox One!

Capitalism, that's why. Gaming has not turned to shit, games have been getting better and better exponentially. With more interactive storylines, fusion of live-action elements, amazingly improved graphics, it's hard to say gaming has turned to shit. The future is here, people need to get used to it.

It's simply good business, though. They lose money. I go into Gamestop with the intention to always buy a used version because it's cheaper. And that makes Gamestop money, not Microsoft and the developers. While it harms gamers pocket's, if you're a hardcore enough gamer and you have a job then buying games shouldn't be a problem at all. Gaming has ALWAYS been an expensive hobby. I'm excited for the future of gaming, myself. So what if I can't play used games? I only save like 5 bucks buying a newish game used anyway so fuck it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just Silver, you may not care about graphics but LOTS of people do, actually the majority of people do. No story? Are you kidding me? Before multiplayer games all they could do was tell a story...

I am a hardcore gamer and I don't want to separate from Xbox. I think hardcore gamers will buy the Xbox just as much as they'd buy the PS4. PS4 seems to be aimed more toward gaming, that doesn't mean Xbox isn't aimed toward gaming. Xbox is simply trying to be more than a system. It's very possible to devlop great games and have all this multi-media shit too.

Ill admit the story adds to the experience but still gameplay is mostly important imo

And graphics being better isn't a bad thing but just focusing on presentation and media could be
