how to get around admin password...

I have an admin password on my computer and i forgot it, and the hint doesn't help, is there a way i can get around it, because im trying to download some music editing software and i need the password...

ok, so you know how there's passwords on windows, it says type in admin password to allow program install. Well i forgot that password.. am i still not making sense?
