Wow. It really is different in here. I know changes will be made in the near future but one thing I do miss as of now is the active topics button. I used to click on that so frequently to see the most recent posts being made. But I'm sure that will return soon. Not crazy about the color scheme/layout but maybe it just takes getting used to. I'll be patient for more changes and improvements to come.

and the dark background needs to go, its WOAT. I can barely differentiate the topics/sections. I want a lay out similar to KTT, black on white, tight and clean. If the changes thatll be made in the future will all be with dark backgrounds like this then id rather have the old lay out tbh.

This is why we should have layout options, and not one single layout.

I just looked and in board preferences there's a thing that says my layouts, and there's only our option, but this prolly means its possible to have options

The new colour scheme doesn't seem good for me as it's too dark to see the titles and text. It requires my eyes to strain more.
Please post a public pole to see what TRShady think of this new scheme.

yeah I appreciate that someone (TRshady?) took time to make changes but if it comes just to layout, the last one was the best

EDIT: I think if this layout will stay than all the red titles, names etc. should be changed to different color

I'm happy to switch to a different theme - just had to make a quick call as the upgrade process for the old theme would have taken hours. As such, if ya'll find a better theme and agree on it - I'll easily make the switch.

You're going to need options to please everyone. Some like dark, some like light. I personally hated the last one and like this one more.

I don't feel there's a need to move away from PHPBB - I'd expect the migration work to be a fair bit of work too. I'm pretty comfortable with PHPBB - and with a good theme, I reckon it'd suffice.

HeySamantha, can I ask for you to take up the role of keeping track of suggestions regarding a new layout, then create a poll once we have a decent shortlist? Unless I have strong objection to the winner - I'll make the switch.

Can I ask you something, do you think that php is outdated ? Like your personal opinion. It's been surpassed a long time ago and lets face it, most php layouts look like shit. A lot members on here want an updated forum, layout and server wise. A forum like vbulletin has all the options you have with phpbb and even more. Hell even smf.
