Laptop or PC???

Which is better for a home recording studio? Laptop or a desktop computer?

I have a home recording studio with a mic and everything and I wanna start recording again so I just wanted to know which one might work better.

Any advice appreciated :y:

Definitely a desktop.

It's always possible to use a laptop, but if you want to know which one's better? Desktop all the way. Desktops are more easily upgraded, allowing your setup to grow with time. Whether your want to go with a case designed to be quiet, or a internal audio card, upgraded processor, or more peripherals...there are nothing but reasons to use a desktop over a laptop.

The only advantage of a laptop over a desktop for recording that I can think of is portability, which may be something that concerns you.

Desktop no doubt, especially if you want it for a "home recording studio". You can always upgrade it whenever necessary

I've used MAC laptops before for music, but, I find that the Windows and MAC desktops are better.

I use Windows 8 currently.
