YES MOTHERFUCKER!
I'm impressed with most of this tape, my favourite of yours by far.
1. Renovation Intro
Simple enough, the "Renovation" chant with that vocal effect on it sounds mad wicked btw.
Favourite Line: It's Dilz bitch
2. Bonfire
This right here is tough. You sound really sure of yourself and your flow is like "bang bang" - word to my m8 Chief Keef - "best in the game like I'm Anderson Silva"
Favourite Line: better grab some floaties stead of drowning in your sorrows
3. Airplanes f. Rakiss & TripleNineThree
I'm sorry but that hook is ugh./
Whoever is singing is out of tune, it sounds like "Rakiss" is really hestitant in what she is doing and it makes me cringe abit.
Verses are all round nice, I'm probably leaning to TripleNine's a bit more than yours just because I feel it is a tad more focused in terms of storytelling.
Favourite Line: I don't wish, homie I pray.
4. The Real Her
For some reason your delivery reminds me of Frank Ocean on "Super Rich Kids".
The "can I be myself" sounds soft as fuck - but in a good way - however I'm not really keen on your singing in the other part of the hook.
You sound kind of nochanlant and relaxed which really works with what you're talking about, baby bottom swag bruh bruh
Favourite Line: Am I going overboard? Love drunk everyday I’m begging to be sober lord.
5. Dreaming
Delivery is fantastic, your flow hits the beat perfectly everytime.
Again your singing doesn't really work in this instance, I know it's essentially using the lyrics of the original but I think you could of come up with something different which would suit your voice more.
Favourite Line: I’ve set myself a target I’m making sure my sight is fixed, keeping close supporters I’m thinking that they might assist.
6. Started From The Bottom f. Omega Mythologist
Noice. Noice.
Omega has a very analytical sounding voice - if that makes sense - all though when he's rapping over the beat it sounds like his talking more than rapping but I guess it works in this case.
I think that the mixing has really helped your overall sound, especially the effect on your voice which is perfect for the beat.
Favourite Line: Will never jump the gun but I'm creeping on the line, started from the bottom and I'm almost at the face, tryna reverse the system so my shit is what you taste.
7. Mockingbird
Hook isn't too bad.
I like this joint, it sounds sincere but not bitter.
Not much else I can say.
Favourite Line: We are picture perfect, can we try and fix the frame?
8. Strange Clouds f. Luke
Luke's voice and flow need quite a bit of work but his lyrics are ill.
"I'm the shit like I'm covered in faeces", no no no
I'm sorry bruh but this is one of the most overused similes and it isn't exactly a great one in the first place, nonetheless most of your verse is killer, also the chrous is quite good.
Favourite Line(s): you think the tables turnin’ but infact the tables breakin’
Life is a bitch but love isn't easy
9. Old Friend f. Justin Snodgrass
The "where you been dude", "you went too", rhyme scheme is awesome.
Favourite Line: What your going through is something you can put a stop too.
10. In The End f. Percy Snodgrass
The tone of voice your using really works for the whole vibe of the song, although I feel the "I have a dream, tryna make it" topic gets a little tired after awhile, you've expanded conceptually heaps throughout this whole tape but it is still a crutch you have to deal with.
But in the end it doesn't even matter
Favourite Line: A maze where I am, gave it up but yeah here I am.
11. Royals
And we'll never be rooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaals.
Your flow is rapid, self assured and overall pretty sick.
One of my the best songs on this tape for certain, a few punchlines are a bit meh though
Favourite Line: I’m a renegade taking centre stage, renovation is the tape so I’m gonna renovate.
12. Changes f. Miracle & Butch Hak
The first guy sounds like P Diddy haha. Good verse.
The chorus is a good recreation, works quite well probably one of the better covers on this.
The alliteration on your first verse works really well Dilz except the little talking bit in the middle sounds kinda played out, like every rapper on a concious tip says that.
13. Space Bound f. Tissues
One of my favourite hooks this year, full stop.
I can't really say much other than it is another well done track.
Will post the rest later...
