About Gaming storage

Postby Hopsinshadie » Feb 16th, '14, 21:38

I probably have asked something like this. Can any of you post a picture of your gaming storage? What do you do with cords for the system you're not playing at the moment? Where do you put your games and other consoles? I would like a savvy idea, but at the same time want to show off my consoles in sight without too much clutter.

Oh and wassup with all the bad gateways?

As for the question, I have all my consoles out at once, just plugged into different inputs on the TV. Do most of yours have HDMI or are you using RCA? If you're using RCA, you can get neat little switch boxes that only take up one input on your TV.

Looks like this:

My Gamecube, N64, PS2, DVD player, and 360 are all on RCA, so I have them pluggged into a switch box. The PS3 and Wii U are on HDMI so it's just into the main TV on my two HDMI inputs.

It'd be great if you could take a pic of that. I'm trying to figure out the best way to store games and accessories including my game gear. I like the idea of all systems out at once, but I'm not that tech savvy.

It's at my mom's house since I don't have room for everything at my apartment, I'll try to grab a pic of it next time I'm back in my home town.

My buddy says to use an HDMI cord for high def. He also says to keep my old tv for old systems. I don't know what to do. Do newer tvs play old systems as well or is there any way?

HDMI is higher quality. You can get the same type of switch box for HDMI also, it's more expensive though.

It shouldn't make too much of a difference as long as the TV has RCA (red/yellow/white) inputs, which is what I think most older systems use.

Hmm, I see. Because I did try some PS games like Tomb Raider demo on it and it looked pretty fuzzy. Some Ps1 game MDK looks more fuzzy on it. But that was on the PS2. Does playing ps1 and 2 games on the 3 make rhem look better?

But what about the power cord? Is there a box for power cords?
