I might have heard Lose Yourself before it, idk, but I never listened to rap before this. I had obviously heard a few rap songs but I didn't like the ones I heard. My friend had bought the 8 Mile soundtrack when it first came out and it came with an extra disc that he didn't want that had Stimulate on it. He gave that to me and that's how I listened to it.

I don't remember if I heard Lose Yourself before or after this song, but I do remember Stimulate being the very first Eminem song I ever enjoyed. And rap song in general. I didn't listen to Lose Yourself, in full, until much later. After the movie was already out for a few years.
