Shout outs to Ku53v... I couldn't take that lightly as well little homie. :y:
All Argentina needed was Tevez... they had the midfield almost entirely in the first half & for the most part of the second one... Tevez would have given the defenders hell & would have made a lotta more space for Messi & Lavezzi.

Congratz to Germany anyway... & too bad for Reus for getting injured just before the WC.

Lol at everyone saying Messi was shit. 4 goals in the group phase, one crucial assist in the 8th finals. He single handedly brought Argentina to the 1/4.

He Wasnt that great but with players like Higuain and Aguero who need 15 shoots to score once, he did great.

James should have won the award though. And for giggles sake, he did better than Cristiano but that's not saying much. :shifty:

If you agree or disagree with him getting the Golden Ball (like me), you can't argue with statistics

EDIT: but I think it's stupid to focus on who got the Golden Ball, whether it was deserved or not, etc. Germany won, let's celebrate/hate that and just look forward. Even Messi don't give a shit that he won.

Mourinho told Yahoo:

"All my respect to Messi because he played for his team and this can't be said of all players at this World Cup.
If Messi wanted to be the phenomenon we all know he is, he'd just have played up front, close to Higuain, waiting for a chance.
He was trying to create something out of nothing for his team. His assist to Di Maria was for example brilliant.
Messi played in zones that are not his. He had to play so low that he had to cross 2-3 lines. Always had 2-3 players on him.
Messi sacrified himself for the team. He wanted to win, he didn't wanted to be topscorer or mvp, he wanted to make history."

True statement. He wasn't the best but without him Argentina would have flopped so hard this year. Aguero was nowhere near his best, Higuain flops in front of the goal as always, and Di Maria wasn't half as good as he was during this season.

Argentina's defense was great but they were really bad in front of the goal.
