What’s one of the most memorable moments you have as a member of J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League?

“There’s so many, man. There’s so many things that happen out on the road and when you’re away from home for so long you have to find ways to keep the morale up. I could name a hundred. We recently ran up a Shady Records tab. I don’t know if they knew that they had put their card down at the hotel we were staying at for incidentals. We stayed there for about a month and we ran up this tab so high. I don’t even know how much was on there but we were getting fucked up every day at the bar. I didn’t spend any money on meals out there. We just said, ‘Fuck it, let’s just order everything. I hope they’re cool with that.’ So I want to shout out to Eminem, I appreciate it.”

What were you working on that meant a Shady Records card was put down for your tab?

“We were out there for about a month working on the new Slaughterhouse album. The process was unlike anything I had ever been a part of. We were at Just Blaze’s studio in Harlem. Just Blaze was there, we were there, Cardiak was there, !llmind was there, AraabMuzik was there and we were all kind of putting all our input into every track. Nothing was sacred. I remember just walking in one day and Just Blaze was on his laptop adding shit to one of our beats. I wasn’t offended, but it threw me off because I was like, ‘The managers and lawyers haven’t talked yet and we’re already collaborating on something?’ It was just weird because everybody else that we’ve worked around for the most part has been so selfish with their publishing rights. You might bring the illest beats to the table but they’re like, ‘No, you’re not splitting my publishing.’ We started getting more comfortable with that process to the point where we were adding stuff to Just Blaze’s tracks, we were adding stuff to Cardiak’s tracks, it was all a tremendous effort of cross collaboration. It was just about the music and I thought that was beautiful. It didn’t matter as records started to get finished we were like, ‘I’m glad you put those strings on there Cardiak, I never would have thought about that.’ It was a pretty long trip for us but we stepped away and just heard the music. That was pretty recent but it’ll go down in J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League history.”

I remember how this shit was supposed to drop in early spring.
Seems like label doesn't like the concept in first version, and album was cancelled later as a result, even with Eminem "finishing touches". So only Yelawolf's "Love Story" from the Shady Records this year (tbh now i'm not sure even in that)? That's a mess.

If Slaughterhouse is a last priority, then where does that put Yela?

Really hope Shady would just go independent, record sales keep going down and only live performances and label products is what earns them the big money. Paul loves money, he has to start thinking of an alternative route.

I think Yela will drop couple of singles this year, and that's all.

If Interscope drops him, he'll probably release the album independently himself.
He's been touring independantly for a while already and doing fine. You guys are forgetting he has his own record label. Sure it won't sell anywhere near as much, but we'll get to hear it finally and that's all I want.

That was said by Paul himself, so seems like he had a plan to release all this stuff in 2013.
As a result we got MMLP2 only in November. And no words about Yela & SH albums than.
It's now funny to watch how artists trying to say some shit like: "I need more time and then we drop it. Just for the right moment", or "We'll drop it when we want to drop it". It looks stupid as fuck now. Everybody already knows that is not you decides when to drop your album. It'll be a label decision only. On Interscope artists don't have that simple freedom.
Don't know why Rosenberg still fucks wit 'em. Shady Records can make same damn money only wit Em's albums sales and shows, and give to fans some more music.
