Don't get me wrong, MMLP2 is a great album.

But to place it in a top five OF ALL TIME expresses not nearly enough exposure to music.

tbh

If someone says something is their favorite, let it be

unless it's something that simply can't be someones favorite like Encore for example

whats weird is how true that is. unless you have some sorta essay explaining why those songs mean something to you and yada yada, your post is 100% accurate

Listen, people are allowed to like bad albums. It's all subjective.

You can like and love whatever the fuck you want, and if MMLP2 is in your top five albums of all time, so be it, to each his own.

Like I said, I think it's a great album, but I guess my point was that objectively there's so many other albums (in other genres, nonetheless) that surpass it.

this tbh

there is a difference. just because you enjoy something doesn't make it one of the greatest works of art in the entire history of recorded music. i'm pretty fond of blink-182, for instance, but i'm not trying to say Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is better than Abbey Road

Yes. There's a huge difference in subjectivity and objectivity. Like whatever the fuck you want but if objectively something sucks or is subpar then don't try and say it's great or better than something else that is arguably or undeniably better. When it comes to subjectivity and personal tastes, anything is fair game.

Agreed, like all my favorite albums in my top 5 consist of Eminem, Linkin Park, and AC/DC. BUT it doesn't mean I am saying those are the best jus cus I enjoy them the most. Those are just my favorites.
