I might be wrong here, but wasn't there a part in the original where IT the Clown exclaims the remark "Hello n*gger!" to a black kid? I wonder if they'll keep that part in?Stephen King sure loves the 'n' word. It'll be interesting how they approach remaking the film, and whether or not they can pull it off without it being a complete disaster.

I don't remember that part. I don't see the need for a new one, the original was good. I remember seeing it when I was like 8. I was not scared.

Horror movies in general are absolutely horrendous. They need to learn to cut down on the rapid screen cuts accompanied by a loud instrument and just focus on developing an actual freaky fucking story with little to no additional musical like The Exorcist.

The horror genre is slacking hard lately I feel like. The new IT should be siiick depending on who's playing IT.

Obviously, any genre can be well written but it takes 100 shit horror movies to find an actual good one.

Speak the truth. Too many scary movies these days rely on sudden jump music. You know, the scenes where a character is rounding the corner slowly, then you hear this 'DUH DUH!' sound effect.

To say that there's hundreds of bad horror movies with 1 good one is a bit of a stretch. In the past year there's been several critically acclaimed horror movies.

I don't think you guys understand the genre. A lot of these movies are not meant to be taken seriously anyway. A lot of the movie elements you are saying you dislike are the fundamentals of what makes a scary movie. Zombie flicks for example just shock the viewer, but are satisfying as all hell. Movies with jump scares like The Mummy aren't really that good, but the story and production quality kind of pulls you in and makes you enjoy the experience. If you want boring, well-written and complex stories with a bit of gore, then yeah, they are critically good movies, but are they good for you? I like horror movies that are a mixture of both. It's a matter of opinion.
