My thoughts.
ShadyXV. - 9/10
Great opener. Dope Em production and classic Slim Shady vibe. The fack part was funny. Actually laughed out loud at a few parts.
Psychopath Killer. - 10/10
Royce's intro, Yela's hook and Em's verse are absolutely bananas. Royce and Crook's verses were dope as well. Dope beat, I'm addicted. This is a track we all wanted from them.
Some notable lines.
"The thought of Retiring is makin' me want to set your daughter on fire with a soldering iron"
"But I keep walkin' the line between the wrong and the right
But everything I write seems wrong and it's like
I'm ecstatic at all the static that I can still cause
In the fabric of our modern society
Now Catholics are panicking cause I snapped back to my old antics & shenanigans
Dammit the pope's mad again
Probably shouldn't have ran up in the Vatican with that mannequin
Singin' "Bagpipes from Baghdad" again
In my dad's drag draggin' a faggot in, a glad bag
Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance, like that again"Die Alone. - 7/10
Don't love the hook. Beat is okay. Em's verses and lyrics make it a solid track. Not my favorite though.
Vegas. - 9.5/10
Holy shit. Em destroys this lyrically and production wise. Such a standout. Royce was dope too but brought it down a little for me. Em shoulda went last.
Fine Line. - 8.5/10
Solid track. Enjoy the production and hook. Em has solid verses. This might grow on me more but for now it's not a standout track.
Twisted. 9/10
Love this track. I enjoy Em and Skylar's singing. Yela's verse is dope. Not crazy about the hook, it's a little over the top compared to the rest. Wish Em had a verse as well. Addicted to this part.
"Is a pain in my neck, thorn in my side
Stain on my blade, blood on my knife
Been dreaming of her, all of my life
But she won't come true, she's just my nightmare I woke up to"Right For Me. - 9/10
So dope. More sick Em production. Slim Shady's back and I love it. That 3rd verse is fire.
The rest of the tracks are solid for the most part. Standouts are ShadyXV, Psychopath Killer, Vegas and Right For Me. Twisted, Fine Line, Guts Over Fear, Die Alone + the Yela tracks are all good as well. The rest is forgettable but overall a great album. I wish it was longer.
I'm really looking forward to another solo Em project. And please Em, produce more on the next one. His production is off the charts and he's on fire right now. Second prime for sure. Seems like he isn't slowing down either.
